IT'S FRIDAY, I'M IN LOVE

JAM Club is an after-school band club for Josephinum Academy students facilitated by GR!C. In this program, students will learn how to play a traditional rock instrument and will write and perform an original song. At the end of the program, bands will showcase their newly developed skills with a performance at a professional venue and by recording an original song to be presented on a CD and online Bandcamp release….

Let's Rock Camp

A fundraiser for Girls Rock! Chicago summer camp

Stay Tuned for 2019 Dates!

Thanks to everyone who attended our 2018 Let's Rock! Camp weekend in February. It was an absolute blast and we were able to raise some funding for our youth camp as well! Please stay tuned for our LR!C dates in 2019! At this intensive weekend-long workshop, women (cis or trans), transgender folks (of any identity) and gender nonconforming folks ages 18 & up will follow a program similar to what the youth do at our summer camp: learn an instrument, form a band, write a song, and perform it – in just three and a half days! Each applicant will choose to play guitar, bass, keys, or drums, or be a DJ for the weekend. GR!C also provides breakfast and lunch from amazing local restaurants for all campers at no extra charge. We assign instruments on a first come, first serve basis, so we ask that you also provide us with a second choice instrument. NO MUSICAL EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY
