LADIES ROCK! CAMP

A fundraiser for Girls Rock! Chicago summer camp

At this intensive weekend-long workshop, women, transgender folks (of any identity) and gender nonconforming folks ages 18 & up will follow a program similar to what the youth do at our summer camp: learn an instrument, form a band, write a song, and perform it – in just three and a half days! Each applicant will choose to play guitar, bass, keys, or drums as their main instrument for the weekend. GR!C also provides breakfast and lunch from amazing local restaurants for all campers at no extra charge. We assign instruments on a first come, first serve basis, so we ask that you also provide us with a second choice instrument. AGAIN, NO MUSICAL EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY.

At the end of the program, bands will showcase their newly developed skills with a performance at a professional venue and by recording an original song to be presented on a CD and online Bandcamp release.
